BECY Network Meeting 2015

Strategies for Knowledge-Driven Developments in the Bioeconomy

September 29 - October 1, 2015

The Conference “Strategies for Knowledge-driven Developments in the Bioeconomy” of the Strategic Network Bio-based Economy (BECY) will take place at the University of Hohenheim / Stuttgart from 29 Sept – 1 Oct 2015.

Its aim is to prepare an edited book, which is going to be published by the end of the year. The book is about current activities in the Bioeconomic research and encompasses both technological and economic strategies to master the transformation towards a  bio-based production system.

The purpose of the workshop will be to introduce to the papers, jointly discuss them and to develop conclusions. National and international scientists will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and network for new cooperative research projects.

Facing the great challenges, the Bioeconomy offers a sound concept towards an optimal use of renewable biological resources. With its cross-cutting nature, it has the unique opportunity to address complex and inter-connected challenges, while achieving economic growth.
