BECY

The Strategic Network Bioeconomy (BECY) co-ordinated by the University of Hohenheim, is a strategic network of five leading universities in the emerging research field of bioeconomy and related disciplines.

Members of the network are University of São Paulo (USP), São Paulo State University (UNESP, both Brazil), Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM, Mexico), University of Guelph (UoG, Canada) and the University of Hohenheim.

The aim is to set up a sustainable cooperation in mutual and complementing areas of bioeconomy in order to strengthen excellence in the quality of research and teaching.

BECY is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funds provided by the German Federal Ministry of Research and Education (BMBF).
