Scholarships for doctoral candidates of the University of Hohenheim

Within the DAAD-project “Strategic Network of Bioeconomy (BECY)” in the year 2018 a limited number of scholarships for doctoral candidates of the University of Hohenheim is available for research stays at our project partners in Brazil (University of São Paulo, São Paulo State University), Mexico (Metropolitan Autonomous University) and Canada (University of Guelph).

Scholarship specification and application

Funding period:1 to 3 months, 6 months exceptionally
Scholarship specification:

Travel allowance (TA) and monthly funding

  • Brazil: 1.200 € TA and 1.200 €/month
  • Canada: 1.450 € and 1.075 €/month
  • Mexico: 1.825 € and 1.125 €/month
Requirements:
  • Doctoral studies at the University of Hohenheim
  • Bio economy orientation of the research project
  • Research stay should end before 31 December 2018
Application deadline:28 February 2018 for research stays planned in the same year

Funding period 2013 – 2016

Within the funding period from 2013 - 2016 of the DAAD-project “Strategic Network of Bio-based Economy (BECY)” a limited number of scholarships was also available for students, graduates and scientists for research or study stays as well as conference participations at our project partners in Brazil (University of São Paulo, São Paulo State University), Mexico (Metropolitan Autonomous University), Canada (University of Guelph) and Denmark (University of Copenhagen).

Also temporary stays of students and doctoral candidates from our partner universities at the University of Hohenheim could be funded within this period. The first funding period of the BECY project ends on the 31st of December 2016.

During the phase of completion funding from 2017 to 2018 only scholarships for research stays of doctoral candidates of the University of Hohenheim at the partner universities are available.
